could there be any more poop?

that's right, i asked if there could be more poop?
Taylor the chihuahua came to live with us last monday. she is the coolest little thing. her personality is so different than Peyton's. Peyton is so prim and popper, Taylor is sooo clumsy. they are fun to watch play. and i don't think that their mommy could love them anymore than she does.
so, here is the problem. when Taylor came home to live with us, she had quite a bit of diarrhea. this can be normal for a pup when they move to a new place. i already had a vet visit scheduled for her the next day. everything came back normal and healthy from that visit. like normal, they took a poop sample. the next day, the bad news came. diagnosis- giardia. giardia is a parasite that makes it's way into the intestinal system of the animal and causes problems, including diarrhea. Also, this giardia is very contagious to other animals and humans. and that’s where the bad news starts. today, this morning, when i got home from work, i took Peyton "potty" and, yes you guessed it, diarrhea. of course this happens on a holiday, so i will have to wait until tuesday to get Peyton started on a treatment plan.
we are so glad to have pups that are free from diseases that could take their lives. they are the most fun to have around, they watch, and keep us company. unfortunately, they both now have this intestinal parasite, giardia. since this causes diarrhea, it is really, really hard on our carpet, our sleep schedule, and on the pups themselves. we are going to work as hard as we can to treat and fix this and also to use this as an opportunity to grow closer as husband and wife as well as a family of people and pups.
we remember that things could be so much worse. however, this is not easy so all prayers are welcome.
i will try to keep this site updated. thanks to everyone who has read this. i hope to provide more pictures and more interesting reading soon.

Ok, this may sound extreme but since doggy pants probably don't come in such small sizes, I have a suggestion. Maybe a bandana could be fashioned with an adhesive pad around pup's rear end around the tail to contain the excrement.

Thinking out loud.....
