my new truck

so, i got myself a graduation present. i have said ever since i got my Honda Civic that if Honda ever came out with a truck that i would be first in line. well the other day i took my Civic in for it's 30,000 mile service and while i was their i decided to take a look at the new Honda Ridgeline. WOW was all i could say. what a vehicle. i crawled into the drivers seat and felt right at home. this truck has it all. from the inside it feels like you are sitting in a SUV, lots of room. on the outside it appears to be a full size pickup, although it is a classified as a midsize. needless to say i went and picked one up the next day.

here are some pictures of the 2006 Honda Ridgeline. These are not pictures of my truck, but my truck is the same make, model, and color.

in search of the Wonder Years

i'm not really sure what this says about me, but my favorite TV show of all time is the Wonder Years. unfortunatly, i have not seen this show come on the air in at least two years. i do have a couple of the episodes burned onto CD in avi. format that i watch from time to time. i have signed up with amazon.com and they promise to email me if and when the show becomes avaliable on DVD. their are a few places on the web that claim to have the complete set on disc, but i am a bit weary of them. if anyone reading this ever comes across a way to get this show on disc, vhs, or any file format, please let me know. PLEASE help me in my search for the Wonder Years.

seems like a new life

so it seems as a lot has happened since the last time i sat here in ambulace triage (my usual posting location). i'll start with a bit of an update. first, i am done with paramedic school and all of the tests and retests, everything. now its time to proceed with learning. it does feel really good to be finished with it, to have completed what i started. it is also nice to see the relief in my wifes eyes. i'll say it again, Steph and i went through this together, i could not have done it without her.

i'm not sure if i have said much on here about my other adventure in life. anyway, i am currently going through some training with the Marion County Coroner's Office. I am training to be a Deputy Field Investigator. the training consisted of eight weeks of in the classroom training and now i am doing some field internship work. once i complete the required field work i will be able to sit for the state boards. this training in no way is as extream as paramedic school was, but it is very interesting. and no doubt lots of the stuff i learned in paramedic school is often applied in this. once all my training is complete, i will be able to work as a Deputy Field Investigator, part-time. i'm looking forward to that.
